THIRD FORCE
AUSTRALIAN DJ & PRODUCER | AFRO HOUSE / AFRO TECH
Third Force is the artist project of Australian DJ and producer Richard Lander. With more than two decades immersed in electronic music, his journey spans Melbourne's established nightlife scene, radio broadcasting and performances alongside recognised Australian and international electronic music artists.
His performance history includes Melbourne venues such as Seven, Cloud Nine, BaroqHouse, Love Machine, Circus Bar and The Saint, alongside more recent appearances at Trybe, Sahara at Freo Social and Si Paradiso. His background also includes radio experience through Kiss FM.
His current musical direction centres on Afro House and Afro Tech, combining hypnotic percussion, cinematic atmosphere and melodic progression. This sound is reflected in original productions including The Signal, The Threshold and Continuum, a collaboration with DJ Hash Trash.
His original productions have attracted international DJ attention. His catalogue has surpassed 10,000 Spotify streams and received documented plays from Major League DJz, Sebastien Castillo, DJ GRAY, Chris IDH, Dark Heart, NODUS, ZND and Bareno. His subsequent productions have also attracted attention from artists including THEMBA.
Through his independent label, Third Force Music, Richard continues to develop his sound, building on his experience behind the decks and his growing catalogue of original productions.
